Pastor Alex Thorpe is a gifted gospel communicator, and he loves people! He has been married to the love of his life, Sonya, for over 31 years. Pastor Alex and Mrs. Sonya have four adult children and five amazing grandchildren: Christian, Keilah, Ethan, Jusiyah, and Kahlon. He loves to cook, loves fishing, and most of all, he loves helping people. In his spare time, Pastor Alex enjoys spending time with his family, especially his wife when they’re out on a date night or watching movies at home. Pastor Alex lives by the whole counsel of God’s word, but two verses that offer specific encouragement for him are Romans 8:28 and Proverbs 3:5-6.
Pastor Alex says, “Preaching and teaching are a passion of mine, and because of my calling, it is essential for me to be able to study to share the timeless truth of God's word through clearly prepared messages. To do this brings an indescribable joy to my heart! Telling people about Jesus is what I believe HOPE is all about.”

Rachel is a Jacksonville native and Navy veteran who began attending Hope Church in 2025 after enrolling her son at Hope Christian School. Rachel is thrilled to have found a church home for her family right in her community and is excited to learn more while serving the Lord.
Rachel loves spending time outdoors or playing video games with her husband Matthew, an active duty sailor at NAS Jacksonville, and their three amazing children.
