Our Leadership

Pastor Alex Thorpe is a gifted gospel communicator, and he loves people! He has been married to the love of his life, Sonya, for over 31 years. Pastor Alex and Mrs. Sonya have four adult children and five amazing grandchildren: Christian, Keilah, Ethan, Jusiyah, and Kahlon. He loves to cook, loves fishing, and most of all, he loves helping people. In his spare time, Pastor Alex enjoys spending time with his family, especially his wife when they’re out on a date night or watching movies at home. Pastor Alex lives by the whole counsel of God’s word, but two verses that offer specific encouragement for him are Romans 8:28 and Proverbs 3:5-6.

Pastor Alex says, “Preaching and teaching are a passion of mine, and because of my calling, it is essential for me to be able to study to share the timeless truth of God's word through clearly prepared messages. To do this brings an indescribable joy to my heart! Telling people about Jesus is what I believe HOPE is all about.”

John has been leading our students since September of 2015. He oversees the middle school and high school students, and has a passion to see them follow Jesus. John is married to his wife, Brittaney, and they have a son, Brantley, whose best friend is his daddy. John has a B.S. in Religion from Liberty University and a Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership from Bob Jones University. He loves to golf (both traditional and disc) and play board games.

Glenn has been leading our worship ministry since March of 2023. He is currently a student at Trinity Baptist College pursuing a degree in Pastoral Theology, while he continues to discern God's calling on his life. Glenn is married to his wife, Alisa. When he isn't in school or behind the piano, Glenn enjoys reading, playing video games, and building model cars.

Robbie is an integral part of the administrative workings of our church. From human resources management to the stewardship of our finances, Robbie helps us make sure things at Hope Church run smoothly!
